BCNA Board Announces New CEO
The Board of Directors of The BC Notaries Association is pleased to announce that following an extensive search for a new CEO, Mr. Chad Rintoul will assume that role effective mid-April 2020.
Mr. Rintoul is currently Chief Administrative Officer of the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors (ABCLS), the regulatory body that governs the practice of land surveying in British Columbia. He has held that position for just over 8 years.
A graduate of the Universities of Windsor and Western Ontario, Mr. Rintoul was recruited into the Toronto Dominion Bank’s Management Training Program in the Pacific Division. He later left the Bank to work for a BC entrepreneur with international business interests. He met his wife Lisa overseas, when they were both working in Vladivostok, Russia.
Mr. Rintoul has worked as an Executive Director and a CAO reporting to Boards of Directors of nonprofits, working for both member services and regulatory organizations. He has Institute of Corporate Directors’ training; he served on the Victoria Airport Authority Board of Directors from 2007 to 2013 as Chair of Planning and Development.
From 2013 to 2018, he was a Board member and President of the Peninsula Minor Hockey Association and a Director of the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association.
Mr. Rintoul remains active in his community as an elected member of the Town of Sidney Municipal Council where he resides with his wife and two children.
He is also a member of the LTSA (Land Title and Survey Authority) Stakeholder Advisory Committee.
